6 Weird Things About Me
My friend Min tagged me with this meme. She seems to think I'd be able to come up with 6 weird things about myself. Min tends to instill confidence in people, so I'm going to give it a whirl.
Number 1. I remember birthdays better than names, faces or pretty much any important information. My first son's first peditrician's birthday was May 1st. I read it on his office pamphlet. See what I mean?
Number 2. When I was a child, I spent a lot of time at the tops of maple trees, on my upstair's roofs (actually those roofs behind my ponchoed self there on the right), on the garage roof or at the top of my rope ladder with all the rungs pulled up.
Number 3. I have many many blank journals. I do use them, but not as fast as I can buy them. I love all paper products, but good journals are irresistible. I am often tempted and have to pull myself away from bookstores, office supply stores and card stores. Paperies? Forget it, I will use the charge.
Number 4. There was a time that if I was channel surfing and saw a televangelist praying, I would hurry up and change the channel before he opened his eyes and caught me. It's still my first impulse to this day, but sometimes I'll stop and listen.
Number 5. I have a bright orange "tangerine" KitchenAid mixer. Visitors often think this is weird, so...
Number 6. I am very barefoot. I'm barefoot much of the winter and have been known to run outside in the snow barefoot if need be. The Fly Lady, of Flylady.com, changed me a bit on this. She encourages people to get fully dressed, even if they're staying at home, because they'll be more productive.
(Number 7. I'll listen to someone named "Fly Lady".)

I have a couple of blank journals books, too. Not a lot. So I guess I'm just a little weird. Or as Mater would say...
