I loved this post, and I'm so glad I returned your visit to my blog. Sounds like your mom is pulling back just a wee bit, as an insurance policy. My mom is 77.... and I guarantee she hasn't rolled down a hill in 40 years or more, so I think your mom is doing comparatively well!

I get what you're saying in this post. When my older sister died, it make me take hold of life with fervor and boldness so as not to waste the gift of appreciation she gave me in her passing. Like you, I need to hold onto that bodacious Carpe Diem! I did a post a while back that you might appreciate *here* if you want to read it. I think you'll like the lyrics.
