Hey Dad, Wanna Have a Catch?

The first boy never had to ask.

A dad is always bursting at the seams to go have a catch with his first son.

By the time the third son comes around, ten years later...

a dad is busy with a thousand other things he thinks he should be doing.

He needs a little 4 ft reminder to offer that what he really wants to be doing...

is playing catch - and this is just the child to do that.

The third boy...

bops into the kitchen with a glove

and a hopeful smile.

He's been watching brother #1 and brother #2 play ball since his birth.

He can hardly wait to get on that field and show his stuff.

Or maybe what's important ...
is just showing Dad his stuff.

That is like flip art. If we click through fast the action moves. Reminds me of the soccer photos I recently posted of my husband. My shadow played with him. Michele sent me.

I took our youngest for a bike ride last week, and much of what you wrote and illustrated here could have applied to him as well. Beautiful entry.
