Gosh! Squash!

I have squashies!
And remember my tomatoes back on June 1st?

Look at them now!

This is what 20 solid days of solid walls of rain will do.

(Well...we're very drenched here in New Jersey.)





When I was in 5th grade my friend Sharon and I had a safety post on the corner of Lincoln and Laurel. There wasn't a whole lot of foot traffic on the corner of Lincoln and Laurel so Sharon and I used to make up stupid sayings while we stood in boredom, spinning on our heels. One of the silly sayings, for some unknown reason, concerned squash. I think it had to do with my great-grandfather and how he spoke: Garsh! This harsh squarsh is hard to warsh!

Looks like I'm going to be remembering the corner of Lincoln and Laurel all summer.

We have had walls of rain....and cooler temps (like 44 this am) but my garden is really sad looking still. We did eat 2 cherries from the new tree that we haven't had time to kill yet. good lookin garden jennie!
