Scrambled Eggs

Lately, due to life, my brain has been like scrambled eggs. Over-cooked. In browned butter.
I can't finish sentences, I run up and down the stairs forgetting what I was looking for, I, I, I...

Sat down at my desk and found a scrap of paper. This was written on it:

Gert
Pol
Corn
Hora
Marc

I stared and stared. I stared some more. It was my handwriting. I was completely blank. This really began to scare me. Had I gone mad? Do I live a parallel life that I'm unaware of?

I finally figured out what I was writing about.
Any guesses?

Here's a hint. The answer is something everyone has read, whether they wanted to or not.

Not one clue....because i am in my usual miserable mood let me see....Gert needs a get well card, pol is misspelled and should be Paul, you need corn at the store, hora was a fancy way of a time reminder and Marc is your hamster....
not. one. clue. because my brains are actually fried eggs.

At first I thought it might be a grocery list, torn in half vertically. Then I considered it a speeding ticket, which is something I once read although I didn't want to. A shorthand list of books/movies to return to the library? Then I dozed right off...

I never enjoyed Shakespeare. Never. I'm one of those who "...wanted to or NOT." My son did. I think he's some sort of a Shakespeare "authority."

But thanks for the answer to your list.
